Collection: Victoria Foley

A native of California I’ve been creating textiles and textures for twenty years. In my travels I have collected specifically mussel shells and fragments of mussel from California , Oregon, and the West Coast of Ireland from Co.Clare to Co.Donegal.
From my home studio I clean the mussels and then clip each one with needle nose pliers into shapes and color categorize before laying in each piece one at a time to create a unique image. Endless blue notes and ocean tones can be seen throughout the mussel shell fragments. I really enjoy using nature to create timeless beauty.
